Visitor marketing

Nearly 14,000 visitors attended MOVE IT 2007, 68% of whom were adults, 32% of whom were under 16.

The target visitors for MOVE IT include people who dance, people who want to start, people who watch dance, dance professionals, teachers and dance retailers and wholesalers – in fact, everyone interested in dance and the business of dance.

With MOVE IT 2008 we shall build on what was clearly a successful marketing campaign in 2007 and included...

1. DANCE PRESS
More than 20 full page colour ads and over 100,000 inserts in the following titles;

Dancing Times
Dance Today
The Stage
Dance Expression
Dance International
Dance Europe
Dance Magazine (ISTD)
Linedance Magazine
Animated Magazine
Dance News
Going Dancing
Ink Pellet

2. DIRECT MARKETING
Including promotional packs, posters and flyers to over 20,000 targeted dance establishments, and 10,000 ticket wallets distributed via Sadlers Well's ticket despatches.

3. VIP PROGRAMME
Nominated by exhibitors and through our own mailing list, 1,500 dance retailers were invited to attend free of charge through our unique VIP mailing.

4. WOMEN'S & LIFESTYLE PRESS
Ads and inserts in the following;

Natural Health
Time Out
Matchbox
Chicago (The West End show magazine)

5. OUTDOOR POSTER SITES
An extensive poster campaign using escalator panel sites throughout the London Underground Network

6. WEB ACTIVITY
With a Google-friendly web design and colourful buttons and banners, reciprocally linked to over 100 dance-related sites including sponsors, exhibitors, dance associations and listings media.

7. PRESS RELATIONS
We instigated a wide-ranging PR campaign to drive stories and editorials in local, regional and national press, specialist interest, lifestyle and dance press.

8. EXHIBITOR & PERFORMERS MAILINGS
Over 125,000 flyers were distributed via exhibitors and performers for circulation to their key databases, within mailings or simply handed out to customers, members, staff or students.
